J&C Adams Co. is proud to be family owned and operated through three generations. In 1936, Joseph Adams Sr. opened a small window shop on Spring Street in Cambridge. With the building boom following WWII, Joe recognized a growing need for building products. With a strong belief in meeting customers' needs, he expanded his product line to include more windows, doors, exterior and interior millwork, and hardware. The company also began its longstanding relationship with trusted vendors such as Anderson^® and Brosco^®.

The business grew and J&C Adams Co. became known for providing quality-building products with expert service. In 1969, the company moved to its present location on New Street, adding larger shop facilities, a warehouse, and an expanded showroom. Today, J&C Adams is owned and operated by the second and third generation Adams family. We continue to provide the highest quality building products with the personalized service that have made us the door and window specialists since 1936.
